I hope that area will be kept as a natural habitat and a much needed retreat to hikers, walkers, runners and others who appreciate the need not to drive to an area to have this. Please do consider doing the exceptional things that other cities have not done. Keeping as many park areas for people in the suburbs encourages a higher standard of living and health for all. Great job on the photos. Ran there, walked there, kids played there - it’s a wonderful sanctuary and I hope it stay that way.

One concern in the forever loss of a pristine wilderness area that compliments Whitehorse and attracts valuable tourists. The second concern would the be channeling of the waterway and once the water abates, who in their right mind would build on or near a bog!

Some things you can’t get back:

A stone when its thrown
A word when it’s said
Time (and McIntyre Creek after it’s gone.

Nice work

Once I had mountains in the palm of my hand,
And rivers that ran through ev’ry day.
I must have been mad,
I never knew what I had,
Until I threw it all away.
